SPEECH – Victoria Kundi – “The hidden dimensions of cultural consumption within the framework of Tourism Mobility” – Abstract

Cultural tourism has changed through shifting consumer behavior, also in regard to mobile information available. Nevertheless, there is a tremendous amount of tourism that cannot be statistically covered by official statistics or databases. Mainly two tourism types, concealed (illegal) and invisible tourism (unregistered, less than 24h) are cause to the statistical gap that has to be surpassed by alternative approaches. Especially, cultural tourism including city trips or festivals, for which people stay for a short amount of time, stay with there family or even bring there own food, has to be critically revised to create meaningful outcome.
