*Scandals are all over the media!

*Scandals can teach us a lot about culture

*Scandals as process: Scandals do not exist or are found, but they are made /constructed in the process of successful scandalisation.

*Scandals as the perfect commodity in a cultural economy of attention.

*Scandals and cultural transformation: Help us observe transformations in a society, even themselves are actors of social transactions within a society.  In a sense, scandals contribute to a cultural process of constructing a boundary or borderline.

*Scandals as commodities of attention, as a communicative form abound in western media cultures.

*Can use scandals to learn and understand more about a country, culture or society.
