Call for Papers [de/(en)]: Business Development Management

The intention of the book, edited by Professor Lutz Becker, Head of Karlshochschule’s Master Program “Leadership”, is to cover a variety of issues affecting strategies, tasks and roles of the Business Development Manager. The contributions should be made in German preferably – but English will do fine too, if an international context is addressed. Target groups are corporate leaders, senior and junior managers, experts and the academic community – and of cause Business Development Managers in all industries. Following Karlshochschule’s interpretative approach, research should preferably focus on qualitative methods.
The contribution to the volume should offer a critical view on:
- Strategic management and leadership
- Systematic/methodological approaches to Business Development such as establishing marketing channels
- Opportunity recognition and market research
- Organizational issues and collaboration
- Corporate venturing and greenhouse approaches
- Business innovation and innovation management
- Broadening and deepening of businesses
- Sustainable Business Development
- New business planning and project management
- Human resource management for business development
- Intercultural approaches to business development
- Best practices and case studies
To bear in mind, that the main target group of readers are professionals the following questions shouldn’t be neglected:
- What are the drivers and levers helping companies to develop their (new) businesses?
- What the failures to be avoided?
- How can uncertainty and ambiguity be managed?
- What kind of resources are crucial for success?
- Which concepts are in use and which are to favor?
- Which benefits for the corporations and their stakeholdery are reachable?
- How can long lasting advantages be gained?
- What are the strategic and organizational implications?
- What are the talents and skills to be developed?
Guidelines for Authors:
Please adjust your article to the needs of the primary target group, think about benefits for professionals.
Volume 20.000 to 40.000 signs (spaces incl.). Proposals and submitted articles will be reviewed and selected by both an editing committee and the publisher.
Articles have to be submitted up to Sept 30, 2010 in English or (preferably) German language.
