SIFE National Cup Weinheim

8 months of incredibly hard work and an exciting performance at the SIFE National Cup in Weinheim. Karlshochschule’s SIFE Team – coordinated by the student team leaders Jacqueline Lerch and Hennig Fischer – did a really outstanding job for the community and for their social projects.

During the 8 months SIFE spread like a virus, as today approx. 10 percent of Karlshochschule’s students are member of the newly founded SIFE Team Karlsruhe. Thanks to great commitment and extraordinary dedication of our students, even the Professors including Karlshochschule’s president Professor Michael Zerr and both deans, Professor Andreas P. Müller and Stefan Luppold got somehow addicted.

At Freudenberg, host of this years National Cup, our students participated in a great show with 19 teams from all over Germany presenting both their universities and their social projects. In parallel national SIFE Sponsors like Freundenberg, Henkel, Haniel, Metro Group, Bayer and others organised a career fair.

At the Weinheim National Cup our SIFE team presented in league III of the competition. Unluckily the very well versed team of the University of Mannheim being finally elected National Champion was drawn for the same league by lot.

In summer more than one-third of the team will leave for international internships or studying abroad at one of Karlshochschule world wide partner universities. Nevertheless the team acquired enough rookies to continue the SIFE team’s social work also in future.
